Buddha Bless You

“All that we are is the result of what we have thought. If a man speaks or acts with an evil thought, pain follows him. If a man speaks or acts with a pure thought, happiness follows him, like a shadow that never leaves him. “

– Buddha-

I don’t know if I’ve ever mentioned it here, but one of my favorite things to collects are the Laughing Buddha figures. Otherwise known as Budai Luohan or Hotei.  I’m just so fond of them, must be because I look like one. What do you think? Hahahaha!

Prosperity Buddha

This one was something I bought on a stop over in Japan, back in 2000. I think it’s made out of ivory, Peace PETA!

Three Golden Buddhas

These were part of a seven piece collection. Something I got from San Francisco China Town. Love them cause they’re shiny!

Wealth Buddha

I got this the same time as the first one, at these souvenir store in Narita Airport/ Tokyo.

thank you, meeya! i guess the chubbiness and the gayness is what attracted me to collecting this buddhas. i seem to be looking like one as the days go by, hahahah 😉

nell, make sure your buddhas face the main door/window. 😉 it’s a nice collection. and they’re supposed to give your more luck if they are given as a gift to you. 😉 buddha bless you, nell! 😀

hello weng! buddha bless you, too. i actually have a three feet buddha in the living room, mailipat ko nga mamaya para facing the door sya. malay natin, baka mas dumami pa ang grasya. dba? my first three were actually given to me, by a previous employer and two friends. i still have them to this day and they’re nicely displayed in my bedroom. looks like they’re attracting good luck for me naman, hehehehe 😀

Wow! Kakaiba collection mo, swerte daw yan. But you know hindi sila type nung bunso ko kasi minsan tinatawag syang Buddha…hahaha!

hello ann, i heard nga that it does bring luck and prosperity. but it has to be gifted yata, something like that. and speaking of your youngest son, people can be mean sometimes. that’s also a stage i went thru as a kid, chubby rin kasi ako before. tell your son na cute naman ang buddha and that he brings luck in his mommy’s life. dba? have a wonderful week ahead 😀

Loved your Buddha beauties, Nell, especially since I’m also into “oriental chuva-ness” myself! 🙂 You’re so right – you have that innate “Buddha-ness” in you, as in cute, inspirational and huggable! God bless and have a great weekend ahead!

thanks so much, pinky. touch naman ang baklang buddha, hahaha! glad you like my mini buddha collection. i also happen to love oriental art and furnitures (also filipiniana and italian), and my decor here at home is a combination of the three. have a great week end as well, and God bless 😀
