A Bend On The Road

More or less eighteen months to live…

That was the sad news we heard this morning thru an overseas phone call from Manila. My dear cousin, sister and childhood friend, who’s been battling with breast cancer; was advised by her doctor to make the necessary arragements for herself and for her family. No words can express the tremendous sorrow we feel, for her and the family she’ll be leaving behind. I urge you, to help us pray for divine healing…

As you buy and sell, work and play,
Just make sure you spend time wisely,
For there’s never a guarantee,
Of another single minute.

sister thess and weng, thanks for including my cousin and her family in your prayers. from the bottom of my broken heart, thank you po talaga!

this morning, we heard that she’s been admitted again to the hospital cause of unbearable pain on her abdomen. she’s been given a dose of morphine to help lessen the pain she’s experiencing.

    heavens, have mercy on her…

i’m so sorry to hear about the sad news. i can empathize – when we heard that my brother-in-law (the recipient of my earlier prayer brigade) has taken a turn for the worse, helplessness and despair crashed down on us all. its heartbreaking to hear that the people we love are sick, especially when we are so far away and we can’t do anything except think of the worst case scenario. but we have to keep the faith. your cousin needs you more now – a strong and positive cheering squad.

and, nandito naman kami for you *hugs*

I didn’t know what to say when I first read this the other day.. and I still don’t, but I just want you to know I’m sorry to hear the bad news. Every day counts :).

Truly depressing news and even harder to bear since you can’t be on her side to personally comfort her 😦 Will include your cousin in our prayers. Hopefully, when we storm the heavens with our prayers, the Lord will look kindly upon us and hear us…Whatever the outcome would be, I honestly pray that your family be given the grace to accept it in faith. God bless!

i am constantly hoping and praying for divine intervention. may God have mercy on us and help our family keep the faith. thanks so much again for all the love, prayers and concern. you guys are the best 🙂

Nell, God works in mysterious ways. A lot of people have been diagnosed with advanced stages of cancer and yet they survive. Just have faith that all will be well. We will pray for your cousin and whole family.
