Summer Memories

I remember summer days in the province,

When I would stroll along the sandy beach,

And watch the dancing sun as it rises,

With an ice candy in one hand and the other.

What fond memories,

Happy thoughts of my precious childhood…

    hi abby. yup, we did it ourselves. we made some mango, munggo, avocado and melon flavored ice pops (as my nephew would call it). hmmm, bigla mo ring naalala ang iyong kabataan. tama ba ako ;)

    ayyy nell dear … love ko ang ice candy! as in kaya kong umubos ng 20 pcs in one sitting! fave ko ang melon, buko, mangga kasi hinahaluan ko ng gatas pag ginagawa namin sa bahay. nag popost ako ng ice candy for sale sa labas pero ako pa rin ang umuubos..hehehe..makagawa nga ngayon at ipapatikim ko ke miguel… gusto mo?
    i miss pinas!


    this reminds me of so many happy childhood memories, dang. summer kasi usong uso sa atin ang ice candy. ako naman eh nakaubos lang lima kagabi, unlike my nephew who’s eating it non stop. hahaha! yong sa amin naman eh nilagyan namin ng gatas and some with vanila ice cream. nag eexperimento ako sa kusina, hehehe :mrgreen:

    Ako fave ko diyan yung buko na may strands pa talaga of the buko meat - how refreshing talaga on a hot summer’s day!

    Another fun childhood memory for me is playing in our garden and catching dragonflies (parang wala na ata akong nakikitang tutubi ngayon - sad ‘no? :( )


    ay oo nga, ano ng nangyari sa mga tutubi? must be an effect environmental abuse, sigh. and speaking of ice candy, i love the buko flavor as well. if i’m not mistaken eh may popsicles non na kong tawagin eh ice buko, right? sarap i-reminisce ang memories of our childhood. back then eh we have such simple pleasures noh. heheheh ;)

    isn’t this part of most every pinoy’s childhood memories? my favorite was melon flavor…with the melon shavings!


    that is correct, connie. ice candy is part of almost every pinoys childhood. back then eh we have very simple pleasures. nowadays eh smoothie or milk shake na ang hinihingi ng mga bagets. dba ;)
